The 1926 Old Cloister Courtyard Fountain of the Boca Raton Resort & Club features a central fountain surrounded by benches. The focal point is the famous statue “Our Lady of Boca discovered in a small Italian village by Addison Mizner. Deciding he must have it, Mizner used his most persuasive powers to talk the mayor of the town into selling it. Overnight, the statue was packed and carted away When the townspeople discovered their loss the next day, they were so dismayed that they almost threw the mayor out of town. The mayor lost the next election by a landslide. Keystone Restoration, Inc. was retained as general contractor for the restoration and preservation of the old fountain which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
